I’m not an educator so I don’t completely understand the choices you face. I’m sure one’s career could be at stake.

Even so, I think my reaction would be no. It’s not worth it for any amount of money. Kill students and teachers and their household members and families so we can open schools right now? Is that even a choice? Does it have to be this or that?

No, of course not. That’s insane. Schools can resume after the pandemic is over. A year’s interruption of in-person study won’t affect the long term welfare of students as much as throwing them into a Petri dish and watching to see how many die.

Stupid idea by DeVos and Trump. I hope no educator cooperates. It’s madness and even possibly a plan to kill off the poor and disenfranchised who cannot afford the tools for online learning. Teachers could actually send out paper study sheets, assignments, etc. — if we still had printed paper books for our students.

Resist. Insanity doesn’t need company.
